Open and constructive relationships with copyright owners and their advisers are at the core of our business. Owning groups of complementary assets gives us further market influence, with our commercial partners, including publishers, film and TV companies, or online groups.

Our expertise and networks mean we can add significant value to rights portfolios which we invest in. Having these portfolios together under one roof, in the hands of a group ready willing and able to invest, makes sense for existing copyright owners.

Simon Clegg, Managing Director and Founder
Simon is a business exec with 15+ years international experience in the world of media, TV and film, publishing, entertainment and intellectual property (IP). He co-founded Owatonna Media, and leads the business from its London base.

Qualifying and then practising as a commercial lawyer in the early 90s, Simon moved to London in 1997, where he held senior business affairs roles in media, sports and IP. He was previously co-founder of and ran Fleming Literary Management, was managing director in Europe for a leading IP consulting firm, ran a global IP technology licensing business at a multi-national telco based in Paris, and was head of business affairs at leading IP brand owner Chorion. Simon holds an MBA from London Business School.

David Murray, Director
David has had a distinguished in-house legal career, including five years as the general counsel for a $5 billion LSE-listed multinational. He has bought, sold and been responsible for the integration of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of businesses. David has more recently been involved with technology start-ups in Europe, and the commercialisation of global sports events.

We continue to enjoy and benefit from our family’s close association with Owatonna Media. Back when they acquired the John Creasey rights Simon Clegg and his team were very accommodating to our needs and respectful of our concerns. They have continued to keep us well very in- formed, and we’re delighted with what they are doing to bring John Creasey’s books to a new audience
